May 19, 2025
A firefighter said the Bessemer Borough Fire Department haven't responded to a call in a month.

A Pennsylvania community now longer has a fire department.

All 11 firefighters with the Bessemer Borough Fire Company quit.

Firefighters haven't responded to call in a month, former Firefighter Christian Everly told KDKA.

The move comes as Bessemer and North Beaver had been discussing a potential merger. When firefighters voiced concerns, Everly said retaliation started.
